What: Summer Fest featuring Martin Zellar & the Hardways and Gary LaRue & His Rat Pack Band
When: Saturday, August 19 2017 at 6:00 p.m. (gates open at 5:00)
In support of our community, local music, and fun in general, Mueller Memorial is a proud sponsor of Summer Fest, featuring Martin Zellar & The Hardways. Come out to Frassati Academy Ball Field and enjoy an evening of great music!
Martin Zellar is from Austin, Minnesota, and has played in bands since high school. The singer/ songwriter is a local legend, and his band Gear Daddies enjoyed success with their hit songs like “(I Wanna Drive the) Zamboni” and “Stupid Boy.” When Gear Daddies broke up, Zellar began playing with various musicians in a band that would be called Martin Zellar & The Hardways.
Music starts at 6pm with Gary LaRue and his Rat Pack Band. His smooth vocals bring a warmth and romantic quality to every song he sings. Gary specializes in crooning the hits of the Rat Pack era. Step back into a time when romance and the Great American Songbook ruled the world.
Come hungry and stay a while, as there will be an assortment of delicious food, hot dogs, hamburgers, and brats available for purchase along with soft drinks, wine, and beer from our neighbors at Big Wood Brewery. Another local favorite, Cup and Cone, will be selling ice cream treats, and a popcorn wagon will offer snacks to concertgoers.
It’s BOYC (bring your own chair) if you’re going to need a place to rest your dancing feet, and the show is happening RAIN or SHINE (but it’s under a huge tent so a little rain won’t keep us down).
Tickets are available in advance or at the gates for $15 each, and kids 14 and under get in for free. Bring the whole family!
Mueller Memorial has a limited number of free tickets to offer our friends and neighbors. The offer is limited to two tickets per person and you can claim yours at MuellerMemorial.com/concert.html
